Job Summary
The Test Systems Project Engineer will be responsible for leading and coordinating project activities to ensure the delivery of complex Test Systems in line with customer requirements that are safe, of the highest quality, on time and on budget.
These Test Systems support both the Qualification Testing, and the Production Acceptance Testing, of a wide range of Moog Aircraft Group Flight Control Systems and Components.
The role will work closely with our customers (internal and external), and a Moog team of Test Equipment technical specialists, in all aspects of project management to deploy new or upgraded complex Test Systems across Moog Aircraft Group Facilities, and within Customer Facilities. 
The Test Systems are comprised of mechanical, electronic, electrical, software, and power distribution components.


Responsibilities Include
Coordinate activities with multi-discipline technical teams across multiple locations to define, develop, deploy, and release complex Test Systems solutions in accordance with Moog’s Common Development Process (and supporting procedures).
Creation and presentation of detailed Test Systems proposals, including resource loaded schedules, to support customer Request for Information (RFIs) and Request for Proposal (RFPs)
Ownership of project plans, resource and financial forecasts and project status reports for regular review with senior management.
Support generation and formal release of Test Systems documentation during project activities.
Define and manage work packages with external suppliers from Request for Quote (RFQ) to acceptance, including on occasion ‘turnkey’ solutions to support site needs.
Support the coordination of activities for the timely resolution of Corrective Actions, Significant Issues, or Non-Conformances raised against Test Systems.
Ensure all Health & Safety practices are followed, and any new issues are raised and resolved. 
Support internal and external quality audits of deployed test equipment systems.


Key Skills and experience:
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Aeronautical, Software, etc.). Relevant industrial experience would be considered.
Minimum of 3 years (ideally 5 years) experience in design and development testing within a relevant engineering sector (Aerospace, Automotive, Test Equipment).
Experience in the development of test equipment solutions for multi-axis, closed loop, servo-hydraulic, and electromechanical product is an obvious advantage.
Experienced in the use of MS Project is desirable, though not essential (training will be provided as required)
A Project Management qualification (APM, etc.) would be beneficial, but not essential.


Security Clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
