Our team is looking for a Senior CAx Support-Systems Engineer (Hybrid or Remote) to join us. CAx refers to Computer Aided anything: Design, Drafting, Engineering, Manufacturing, Inspection, etc. Reporting to the IT Section Head, our preferred candidate will be local to our Western New York location and have a hybrid work schedule.  However, we're open to candidates who reside near other US Moog locations as well. Remote work arrangements may also be considered for the right candidate.  

You will  will provide user level support in the Siemens NX CAD and Teamcenter PLM applications.  A main portion of your duties will be to address problem CAD parts and assemblies and provide fixes with a focus on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate similar problems in the future.  This will be accomplished by providing user training, making system configuration changes, or working with developers on programmatically correcting deficiencies. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Provide support to end users, application programmers, computer operations personnel and network personnel, relative to daily production processing and applications development activities.
  • Provide both technical support directly to users, as well as be a part of a Team that helps define and test the parameters of use of Computer Aided Design tools used at Moog. This includes defining Standards, best practices and procedures that comply with the business needs.
  • Identifying and assessing Trends/Problems to further help with evaluating impact/priority, as well as escalations to Development Team to implement fixes and/or changes needed
  • Documentation and lessons learned from Incident/Request Closure to either User-Facing knowledge, or internal knowledge amongst the Support Team
  • Becoming an expert in A&D PLM software, tools, and business processes
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge about software and hardware supplied by the manufacturers of the installed computer systems and third party suppliers. This includes the base operating system software that turns the hardware into a computing system as well as database, data communications and ancillary software products.
  • Assist in troubleshooting problems that occur with existing applications.
  • Develop a working relationship with software vendors to obtain vendor assistance in troubleshooting activities and when applying vendor supplied software revisions.
  • Work with the Business Process Managers in AG and SDG to evaluate incoming user improvement requests against the overall A&D PLM strategy for consideration in upcoming development efforts for new system functionality
  • Interface with PLM Business Analysts, users, and Subject Matter Experts to support A&D PLM 

To be considered for the Senior CAx Support-Systems Engineer role, here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you:  

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a technical discipline, preferably in one of the following areas
  • Mechanical Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Systems Engineering; Supply Chain Engineering; Manufacturing Engineering
  • Program or project experience with requirements management and risk mitigation
  • Working knowledge of both Teamcenter PLM Application, as well as MCAD Applications, specifically, NX is desired for this role.
  • Preferably 2-4 Years
  • Working knowledge of NX CAD is required, and a strong background with Teamcenter/PLM integration with NX is preferred.
  • Proficient English skills, both written and verbal; additional languages are a plus

Salary Range: 

The base pay range for this opportunity is $80,000 to $145,000 per year.

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the Moog pay range or indicates the hourly rate for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include a profit share bonus, employee stock purchase plan, a flexible paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
