Our team is looking for a Cadence Allegro Application Specialist to join us with skills in Cadence and other electrical design tools. Reporting to the IT Section Head, our preferred candidate will be local to our Western New York location and have a hybrid work schedule.  However, we're open to candidates who reside near other US Moog locations as well. Remote work arrangements may also be considered for the right candidate. 

As the Cadence Allegro Application Specialist, you will provide complex configuration and customization for Cadence ‘Capture CIS’, ‘PCB Editor’, and other ECAD products for supporting and extending Moog’s electrical design capabilities.  

To be considered for the Cadence Allegro Application Specialist role, here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum eight (8) years of using and configuring Cadence and other electrical design tools.
  • Experience using and configuring Cadence tools and ideally experience using Siemens Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management software.
  • Familiarity with and/or previous experience with Teamcenter PLM software.
  • Able to manage multiple activities, work with a team to develop solutions to meet customer requirements. 

As a Cadence Allegro Application Specialist, you will: 

  • Work with the business to provide solution definition, configuration, and deployment of specific Cadence solutions.
  • Providing complex configuration and customizations for Cadence ‘Capture CIS’, ‘PCB Editor’, and other ECAD products.
  • Define solutions and processes for the component database, including component definition, footprints, padstacks, data connection to ERP systems, etc.
  • Maintain schematic and PWB drawing templates.
  • Define processes for electrical component solid models, moving towards a model-based, digital twin for electronic assemblies.
  • Offer client interface and interaction while working as a team member or an individual consultant on project implementation, enhancements, or integration projects.

Salary Range:

 

The base pay range for this opportunity is $80,000 to $125,000 per year.

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the Moog pay range or indicates the hourly rate for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include a profit share bonus, employee stock purchase plan, a flexible paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.

 

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
