Job Summary
Moog Aircraft Group is recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join the team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Tewkesbury.
The role will include the inspection of Parts & assemblies, dealing with various stake holders to get the appropriate disposition for non-conformances found during inspection at various stages of manufacture. In addition, the Quality Inspector may provide assistance to the wider business to assist in problem solving activities, engineering investigations, and corrective action determination. Responsibilities Include:
Dimensional & Visual inspection of parts and assemblies using various measuring equipment and aids
Inspection of Parts from sub-contractors for Special process
Carrying out electronic transactions to accept & reject parts
Presenting and discussing non-conformances with the wider team for dispositions.
Writing nonconformance reports
Controlling non-conforming parts
Completing training on Moog training portal as assigned
Taking part in investigations, problem solving & department improvement activities
Taking part in Gauge R&R Studies

Key Skills and experience:
At least 3 years of experience carrying out activities as described above.
At least 1 year of experience working in a machine shop, a production environment or working in an inspection department of special process supplier.
Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings and some experience in inspecting GD&T symbols
Experience of inspection techniques & various measuring instruments and their appropriate use
Desirable knowledge of applications such as TIPQA, QPulse FAIR system and working on customer web portal
Knowledge/experience of inspection of parts from special processes
Inspection of parts using CMM machines would be an advantage
Knowledge of QMS system & Microsoft applications
