Moog is looking for a Project Engineer to be an integral part of our engineering team, delivering highly complex electro-mechanical, mechanical, and hydro-mechanical components and systems for flight actuation applications to our Military Group customers.  In this role, you will provide technical leadership and make authoritative decisions for advanced development programs that provide some of the industry’s most sought-after flight actuation components and systems on next generation aircraft for the Military Aircraft Group.  This position is based in East Aurora, NY.

As a Project Engineer, you will…

  • Contribute to the development of new product requirements through consulting with customers and sales personnel.
  • Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
  • Be a key contributor to the preparation of successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and technical volume write‑ups.
  • Operate as a key element in a team of creative, independent individuals.
  • Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its technical reputation.
  • Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program.
  • Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.

 

Minimum Qualifications to be considered… 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 6+ years of professional experience in design/development engineering OR Master’s Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of professional experience in design/development engineering
  • Ability to travel 10-20%
  • This job requires access to US export-controlled information

 

Preferred Qualifications Include… 

  • Strongly prefer the Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree is in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Engineering experience in the aerospace industry
  • Project management or project engineering work experience
  • Experience in the design, analysis, and development of complex electrohydraulic, electromechanical or electro-pneumatic systems
  • Project/team leadership experience
  • Experience in EVMS fundamentals, project planning, scheduling and resource loading; experience with MS Project

Salary Range:

  • The base pay range for this opportunity is $75,000 - $150,000 per year.

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the Moog pay range or indicates the hourly rate for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
