Moog WNY Defense is hiring a Project Engineer for an onsite role in East Aurora, NY.

Reporting to the Staff Engineering Manager, you will provide engineering leadership and project leadership for Defense development projects within WNY. You will be responsible for planning and executing technical scope on development projects and ensuring project milestones are being met so that the expectations of our customers are met or exceeded. You be expected to collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering staff as well as Program Management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering; advanced degree preferred 
  • 5+ years of progressive, related experience with 3+ years leading projects
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance is required; holding an active Security Clearance is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of technical, cost and schedule performance for development programs
  • Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses
  • Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports
  • Set the direction for the technical engineering team, coordinate a cross-functional team of designers, drafters, analysts, technicians, and manufacturing engineers
  • Be the main technical point of contact for the customer
  • Proposal volume development and costing support for Defense BUs
  • Occasional travel to support customer meetings and business development needs

Salary Range:

  • The base pay range for this opportunity is $95,000 - $115,000 per year

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.

Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
