Our team is looking for a Model-based Engineer to join us.  We are looking for a driven individual with excellent communication and collaboration skills to join our talented team to realize our 3D model-based vision and roadmap.  Reporting to the Manager, Site Engineering, our preferred candidate will be local to our Western New York location and have a hybrid work schedule.  However, we're open to candidates who reside near other US Moog locations as well. Remote work arrangements may also be considered for the right candidate. 

 You’ll be expected to take on the following …

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and document model-based design guidelines, standards, and way of work. 
  • Engage with partners, the IT team, and end users to develop, test, and integrate new software applications.
  • Provide process expertise and support to CAD authors and users across the enterprise. 

To be considered for the Model-based Engineer position, you’ll need the following...

  • Bachelor’s degree is required (preferably in engineering) with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the design of hardware products including four (4) years’ experience in 3D CAD modeling using NX preferred; Solidworks 3D CAD modeling and GD&T experience
  • Strong interpersonal and team-based skills with the ability to listen, negotiate, and reach consensus.
  • Experience with leading or participating in digital process transformation initiatives affecting mechanical CAD.

·       This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.

“Highly Beneficial” areas of experience...

  • Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDTP certification a plus).
  • NX CAD and PMI authoring in accordance with ASME Standards Y14.5, Y14.41, and Y14.47.
  • Utilizing MBD in manufacturing execution software such as Solumina, Calypso, NX CAM, etc. 
  • NX parametric modeling techniques.
  • MBD productivity tools such as Anark, MBDVidia, CADIQ, PMI advisor, MBD Logical Rules and Checkmate.
  • Interoperability formats (JT, QIF, STEP AP242, HTML5)
  • Working in Agile and Scaled Agile (SAFe) team structures.
  • Siemens Teamcenter (Active Workspace).

Salary Range: 

The base pay range for this opportunity is $80,000 to $125,000 per year.

Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include a profit share bonus, employee stock purchase plan, a flexible paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
