Moog WNY Defense is growing! We’re hiring an Electrical Design Engineer in East Aurora, NY.

As an Electrical Design Engineer in the Space and Defense group, you will perform the conceptual design, analysis, development and testing of complex flight controls systems used on NASA, military, and commercial applications. You’ll manage the development of complex electrohydraulic, electromechanical and electropneumatic hardware control systems and power sources. We ask that you have a high degree of foresight and creativity to anticipate and solve unprecedented engineering problems. You will report to the Electrical Engineering Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 5 years’ relevant technical experience.
- Brings a fundamental understanding of electrical/mechanical (Power Electronics/ EM Motors) knowledge
- Ability to work onsite in East Aurora, NY (remote candidates will not be considered).
Day- to-Day Responsibilities:
- Be a key element in a team of creative, independent individuals.
- Contribute to the development of new products through consulting with customers and sales personnel.
- Consult on new product and market development efforts.
- Contribute to successful proposal designs and concepts, along with cost and schedule estimates.
- Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
- Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program.
- Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
- Shares vales of “teamwork is a must” and thus good communication is key.

Salary:
The base pay range for this opportunity is $79,955 - $115,000 per year
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
