Moog’s Corporate IT Group is hiring for a Cloud Platforms Manager to oversee our multi-cloud environments, including Azure and AWS.

 

The Cloud Platforms Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Cloud infrastructure, developing policy, ensuring compliance with industry standards, direct strategy, and implementing best practices for cloud adoption. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud platform architecture, integrations, security, and operational excellence.

 

This role reports to the IT Director – Solutions Enablement and is located at our Corporate Headquarters in East Aurora, NY.

 

Here’s what you will work on day-to-day:

  • Cloud Governance: 
    • Develop and enforce policies, standards, and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
    • Assess and identify risks across the platform, while providing methodologies for stakeholders to drive towards remediation
    • Define, develop and manage permissions models to control access and enable environment self-service
  • Multi-Cloud Management: 
    • Oversee and manage multiple cloud environments, including Azure and AWS, ensuring seamless integration and interoperability.
    • Direct overall cloud strategy to enable platform transformation efforts
    • Develop frameworks, methodologies and tooling for the enablement of the business
  • Platform Architecture: 
    • Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures that meet business needs.
    • Review solutions architectures with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, cost effectiveness and security standards are met
  • Security & Compliance: 
    • Ensure cloud environments adhere to security standards and compliance requirements, conducting regular audits and assessments.
  • Cost Management: 
    • Incorporating FinOps principals, establish KPI’s to report, monitor and optimize Cloud spend.
    • Implement cost-saving measures and budget controls in line with Cloud strategy.
    • Develop cost models to support solution analysis, forecasting, application onboarding and drive strategy decisions
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Establish and maintain performance monitoring and reporting systems to ensure optimal cloud performance and availability.
  • Reporting:
    • Develop reporting to measure KPI’s on cloud compliance, costs, business value, and overall customer satisfaction
  • Collaboration: 
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Engineering, Security, and DevOps,
    • Engage with key stakeholders to align leadership with Cloud strategies with business objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: 
    • Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

 

To be considered for this role, here’s what you will need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud environments (Azure and AWS preferred)
  • 3 to 5 years management experience / leading and influencing others
  • Strong understanding of cloud governance frameworks and best practices
  • Proficiency in cloud platform architecture and design
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Experience with cloud security and compliance standards

 

 

The base salary range for this role is $135,000.00 to $165,000.00.

 

Pay Disclaimer:

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the Moog pay range or indicates the hourly rate for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include a profit share bonus, employee stock purchase plan, a flexible paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.

 

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
