Supply Chain Project Manager – Capability & Risk

 

The Supply Chain Project Manager – Capability & Risk is primarily responsible for building a structured approach toward Supplier Risk Management and Capability/Capacity analysis. This individual serves as the primary SME, project manager, and support resource within the MAG Supply Chain team; helping build process, tools, and standard work/cadence for Supplier Risk Management and Capability/Capacity analysis. This individual will understand current baseline of both tools and processes and well as adoption within the MAG Supply Chain group; once these situations are understood, the individual will drive increase adoption and drive governance across the team. A critical component of this role will be developing inputs and outputs to support Site Capability demand reviews to increase understanding of risk and capability within the supply base to achieve program/operational targets. Initial focus/actions will be significant research, benchmarking, and collaborating to understand current state and developing path forward to support more predictable and improved supply base performance.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

·        Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering)

·        At least 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations, or program/project management in a relevant industry

·        Experience in leadership role, specifically experience supporting large organizations with developing, executing, and governing processes

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations. Mechanical Engineering & Electrical Engineering

·        Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and experience with continuous improvement tools (ex: 5Y, 8D); Six Sigma/Lean training

·        Understanding of process and tool development with the ability to implement, train, and sustain compliance to new processes/tools

·        Strong business and financial acumen; understanding of the drivers/impacts of financial performance within the Supply Chain

·        Must be able to collaborate and effectively influence across multiple functions, teams, and businesses to achieve required performance

·        Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) and ability to present to numerous levels of leadership

·        Able to work in an environment with moderate degree of ambiguity and fluidity, supporting different teams/sites across different time zones

·        Experience with contractual requirements (e.g., FAR/DFAR, REACH, AEO, Technical Assistance Agreements, Manufacturing License Agreements, Import/Export regulations, EAR, ITAR)

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

 

 

·        Identify and assess risk, supplier capability, and capacity analysis within the analysis within the MAG Supply Chain teams; ensure linkage to Supply Chain Excellence Corporate team tools/assessments/processes.

·        Engage with suppliers and MAG Supply Chain team to drive further adoption and governance of risk management, capability, and capacity tools to manage supply base; develop deployment plan and track to critical milestones.

·        Align current/newly developed tools and outputs with Site Capability demand review processes, driving stronger visibility into supplier capability/capacity.

·        Partner with MAG Supplier Quality & Development, Procurement, and Strategic Sourcing teams to include these tools into sourcing, APQP, and daily execution activities.

·        Utilize continuous improvement methodologies and tools to develop annual improvement plans. (ex: A3 problem-solving)

·        Drive definition of project scope and objectives, involving needed stakeholders to ensure a solid project baseline.

·        Create and maintain a project plan to monitor and track progress to baseline; identifying risks, gaps, and needed resources to ensure achieving the needed goals

·        Provide support for development of standard work, processes, and tools across the Supply Chain organization; act as Subject Matter Expert and train/develop team members

·        Actively contribute to Site Supply Chain leadership including strategic planning, continuous improvement, and team building

·        Willingness to travel (~10-20% of the time) to suppliers and/or other Moog sites

 

 

The base pay range for this opportunity is $100,000. - $145,000.per year.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
