Supply Chain Program Manager

 

The Supply Chain Program Manager coordinates, integrates, and project manages Supply Chain activities related to the assigned projects or programs. This individual serves as the primary communication link between Military program teams and East Aurora Site leadership. Additionally, this role includes leadership over critical electronics supplier transitions and support for new program capture.

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

·        Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering)

·        At least 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations, or program/project management in a relevant industry

·        Experience in technical leadership roles

·        Business acumen and ability to resolve customer problems

·        Strong analytical problem-solving abilities

·        Excellent knowledge of business systems, policies, processes, and value streams

·        Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple functions and teams

·        Ability to read drawings and problem solve with suppliers on technical issues

·        Technical and Operational understanding in manufacturing electronics

·        Project Management skills that account for internal cross-functional communication and frequent report outs

·        Experience with contractual requirements (e.g., FAR/DFAR, REACH, AEO, Technical Assistance Agreements, Manufacturing License Agreements, Import/Export regulations, EAR, ITAR)

·        Initial knowledge of electronic components and their integration within complex systems

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

·        Advanced degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering)

·        Technical experience with electronic components

·        Experience with structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 5Y, 8D); Six Sigma/Lean training

·        Understanding Moog designs and drawing structures

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

·        Program/Project Management:

o   Utilize best practice project management tools and processes

o   Manage project schedule, cost, and overall business objective

o   Monitor and manage supply chain risks and resolve issues affecting supply chain performance

o   Collaborate with engineering teams to address technical challenges and ensure component compatibility

o   Evaluate and select electronics component suppliers based on technical and performance criteria

·        Compliance:

o   Ensure programs/projects comply with Moog policies, processes, and contractual requirements (e.g., FAR, DFAR, offset requirements)

·        Supplier New Product Introduction (NPI):

o   Manage supplier NPI programs

o   Ensure collaboration and integration across supply chain, NPI, and programs teams

o   Work with Suppliers on new designs to ensure parts conform to new design specifications

o   Manage supplier notifications requiring customer notification or approval

o   Work with contracts/program managers to ensure timely customer responses

o   Determine supply chain requirements and priorities in collaboration with cross-functional program and functional teams

·        Customer Communications:

o   Provide supply chain support for external customer communications and meetings, including audits and assessments

o   Align with internal customers for cost, delivery, and quality reviews

·        Travel:

o   Willingness to travel (~15-20% of the time) domestically and potentially internationally

 

The base pay range for this opportunity is $100,000. – $145,000. per year.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
