We’re hiring a Site Sales Manager for the Industrial Group at our Christiansburg, VA location.   You will further the sales and business development of Moog’s portfolio of motion technology products and higher-level solutions in the markets and geographies served.  You will manage the inside sales team, serve as business development leader, and key customer interface of a $55M global organization. 

You will be a member of the site Leadership Team and report directly to the General Manager while supporting the division sales team. You will be expected to provide leadership and direction for the manufacturer’s representative sales channel and inside sales team. 

To be considered for the Site Sales Manager role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with a preference in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Ten (10) years of sales and/or engineering experience in the sale or product development of OEM equipment, preferably with a motion technology, or electronic corporation.
  • Five (5) years supervisory / management experience
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with all related groups, departments and customers to achieve sales growth.
  • Travel - Approximately 10% (Domestic and/or International) 

As the Site Sales Manager, you will: 

  • Create and maintain an environment that promotes teamwork, responsiveness, efficiency and a positive working environment between our customers, sales channels and operations
  • Develop and complete plans to implement strategic initiatives that increase sales and customer penetration. Promote synergistic selling of our complimentary product portfolio and higher-level solutions
  • Plan and execute cost effective travel.
  • Professional career development of the inside sales/ business development team
  • Maintain communication with departments, customers and sales management to achieve sales, operational and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Staff, motivate and manage the sales/ business development team.
  • Oversee coordination between marketing, business development, and sales for strategic markets
  • Work with the sales team and operations executives to establish staff budgets; support the operations on establishing and achieving yearly booking forecasts and budgets
  • Planning / Prioritization - Assist with strategic opportunity capture planning for key programs and proposals.
  • Work with the customer and Moog sales management to assure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
  • Coordination and cooperation with other Moog divisions as appropriate.
