Our team in Military Aircraft is looking for a Quality Manufacturing Inspector to join them. You will report to the Quality Manager and will have an on-site work schedule in East Aurora, NY. The main focus of this position is to diagnose complex, difficult, long term problem jobs and develop preventative steps necessary to avoid recurrence of the problem(s) in accordance with Company quality standards. This position will require you to utilize innovative methods and techniques to facilitate process reconfigurations. To accomplish this, you must be fully aware of process qualification techniques and maintain a working knowledge of N/C procedures such as tooling packages, program conversion techniques and process improvement projects in the department to insure optimum quality. In this role you will be the logical link between Machine Shop Management/Supervision, Quality Audit and various other Engineering functions throughout the problem solving process.

To be considered for Quality Manufacturing Inspector, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • A two-year technical degree with 3 years machine shop and/or quality experience.
  • Or 7 years experience in a manufacturing and/or quality environment. 

As a Quality Manufacturing Inspector you will:

  • Propose preventative actions necessary to avoid recurrence of problems on complex, long term jobs.
  • Develop and maintain positive problem-solving relationships with various engineering functions.
  • Perform a wide variety of conventional/traditional inspection operations utilizing various inspection techniques such as SPC, geometric tolerancing, etc.
  • Operate and create small Zeiss CMM programs to facilitate inspections.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Al (WO 5, WO 19, WO 18, WO 25, WO 26, INV 5, CM 2 1) and personal computer software packages such as excel, word and access.
  • Assist machinists in quality related activities (use and care of inspection equipment, interpretation of blueprints).

Salary Range:

  • The base pay range for this opportunity is $52,457.60 - $72,945.60 per year.

Pay Disclaimer: The base pay range represents the low and high end of the Moog pay range or indicates the hourly rate for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include a profit share bonus, employee stock purchase plan, a flexible paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
