Quality Engineer

Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Quality Engineer to join them. You will report to the Quality Director and will have an onsite work schedule at our business unit, Genesys Aerosystems, located in Mineral Wells, TX. Genesys Aerosystems delivers customer-focused technologies and customized solutions for Special Mission, Military & Defense, Military Trainer, Business, and General Aviation industries.

 

To be considered for Quality Engineer, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline. May consider combination of education /experience.
  • 3 years of related experience required. Experience in aerospace quality is preferred.  

 

As a Quality Engineer you will:

  • Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality standards and evaluation methods for products and processes
  • Provide statistical information for quality improvement by determining and applying testing methods and criteria.
  • Coordinate and guide technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
  • Assess quality performance using statistical and analytical methods. Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, reliability, and accuracy of products, processes, and production equipment.
  • Develop and establish quality systems and procedures, inspection plans, and quality performance trends. Ensures that project and/or process control documentation is compliant with requirements and/or contract.
  • Assure the timely processing of nonconforming materials and assists in the disposition process by participating in failure analysis and corrective action investigations as a member of the Material Review Board.
  • Design or specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment, and conduct quality assurance tests
  • Review engineering releases and changes, manufacturing methods, planning, and process specifications related to product quality.
  • Develop inspection plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods. Devise procedures and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.
  • Communicate with customers relating to quality performance, trends, and corrective action
  • Provide information and develop corrective action measures by interfacing with customers and regulatory agencies and assisting in internal and external audits. May act as main contact in audit. Develop and coordinate corrective action procedures and plans.
  • Analyze feedback regarding customer complaints, requests, corrective action request or general correspondence and assists in implementing changes as required
  • Refine and enhance processes by applying continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and making recommendations
  • Write training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
  • Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities.
  • Focus on continuous improvement by monitoring trends and recommending solutions.
  • Participate in quality presentations to company leadership as required.
  • Other assignments or tasks as directed.

Salary Range: The base pay range for this opportunity is $80,000 - $120,000 per year.

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the Moog pay range or indicates the hourly rate for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include a profit share bonus, employee stock purchase plan, a flexible paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
