Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join them. You will report to the Quality Director in Mineral Wells, TX and will have an onsite work schedule at our business unit, Genesys Aerosystems, located in Anchorage, Alaska. Genesys Aerosystems delivers customer-focused technologies and customized solutions for Special Mission, Military & Defense, Military Trainer, Business, and General Aviation industries.

 

To be considered for Quality Assurance Manager, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree typically in a technical discipline.
  • Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working and communicating with cross functional departments, suppliers, and customers.
  • Experience handling common internal quality complaints
  • Experience interpreting blueprints, engineering specifications, engineering change orders and documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Experience writing routine reports and correspondence. 

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will:

  • Act as Alaska site leader to plan, coordinate, and execute all on-site requirements including overseeing receiving and shipping of product.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints and change orders to assist in inspection of FAA TSOA articles.
  • Perform duties as an FAA Designee for the issuance of FAA form 8130-3 documents
  • Review Manufacturing and Engineering work instructions / procedures for appropriate quality inspection points.
  • Implement changes in processes and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
  • Prepare first article inspection reports as required.
  • Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of site quality issues.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers as needed to address quality issues.
  • Monitor product rejections for trends and direct areas of improvement as needed.
  • Maintain traceability and retention of all site Quality documents and records.
  • Plan and coordinate site calibration requirements.
  • Create and implement inspection criteria and site quality procedures in line with AS9100 requirements.
  • Be responsible for all Quality Audits at the site.
  • Act as site AS9100 Lead Auditor; Perform AS9100 Internal Audits.
  • Assist with on-site FAA, 3rd party, and Customer audits as required.
  • Respond to audit corrective actions and lead improvement efforts.
  • Design and monitor training for personnel working in Quality inspection.
  • Complete other assignments or tasks as directed by the Quality Director.

Salary Range: The base pay range for this opportunity is $90,000 - $120,000 per year.

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the Moog pay range or indicates the hourly rate for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include a profit share bonus, employee stock purchase plan, a flexible paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
