Our team in Space & Defense is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join them. You will report to the Galax Site GM and will have an onsite work schedule in Galax, VA.

To be considered for Quality Assurance Manager, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • Qualified candidates shall have a Business or Technical Degree with a minimum of 5 years management and leadership experience and 10 years’ professional/ technical experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • The successful candidate shall also have a thorough understanding of the requirements necessary for a functional Quality Management System.  The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in:
    • team building, career development, and performance management
    • IPC acceptance criteria for Electronic Circuit Board Fabrication and Electronic Contract Manufacturing.

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will:

  • Accountable for the framework necessary to support the Quality Management System.  This includes Quality personnel specific accountabilities as well as maintaining procedural methods, in accordance with AS9100 & ISO9001.
  • Accountable for the development of Quality personnel to better achieve Business Unit goals and objectives in addition to individual career development.
  • Accountable for implementing the necessary protocols for achieving the customer’s contractual expectations.
  • Establish and maintain an environment consistent with Moog’s Values and culture.
  • Be an agent for change and continuous improvement.  Continuous improvement is fundamental to Moog’s Quality Policy and is necessary to maintain our high-quality products and customer relationships.  Change is the natural product of continuous improvement.
  • Accountable to external authorities such as AS9100 accreditation authority
