Moog’s Space Division is well known for its ability to develop innovative solutions for critical commercial and defense related space applications.  Comprised of seven Business Units, we are a premier provider of complex avionics, actuation, propulsion, isolation, and motor solutions.  Moog Space Division delivers component solutions, as well as full systems capabilities as seen in our Space Vehicles business.

Successful program management is critical to the growth and future of our Space Division.  We rely on this team to carefully plan and manage the performance of their programs, ensuring cost and schedule targets are met to meet Moog's objectives as well as those of our customers. As a Program Management Office Director, you'll serve to drive consistency in our divisional processes, tools, and best practices, while also directly leading the Program Management functions of several Space Division businesses.

 

Key accountabilities for the role include:

·        Develop, train, and oversee the implementation of the functional strategies and objectives for program management within the Space Division.

·        Responsibility for the program management functions in multiple Space Division businesses, including the direct leadership of personal in program management roles for those businesses.

·        Establish the baseline for which all programs will be managed to ensure that program execution will result in achieving or exceeding the proposal Margin target.

·        Lead the identification, development, and implementation of improvements for program management processes and tools which will support each business unit.

·        Develop and guide senior leadership within program management, ensuring the desired competencies and behaviors are embedded in the way our programs are managed.

·        Develop the performance metrics, dashboards and management tools that will be used to monitor the ongoing effectiveness of program management.

·        Review underperforming programs with program leadership, monitor and oversee successful mitigation of program performance misses.  Red program review and mitigating factors.

·        Work to add program management as a growth vector both in revenue and operating profit.

·        Must have prior work experience in the Space industry.

 

Ideal candidates will have...

·        At least 10 years of program leadership experience, for which 5 of these years will have been in a functional leadership role.

·        Expertise in developing functional strategy, setting best practice, and implementing large scale processes.

·        Experience leading in a matrixed organization, relying on your ability to collaborate and influence.

·        Candidates will have obtained a PMP and can demonstrate a high level of competency in recognized industry standards for program management of various gov't and commercial contract types.

 

Salary Range:

·        The base pay for this opportunity is $150K - $250K

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the Moog pay range or indicates the hourly rate for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include a profit share bonus, employee stock purchase plan, a flexible paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
