Moog Aircraft Group is hiring a Product Engineer for an onsite position in East Aurora, NY. The Product Engineer provides support for Aircraft production programs both at the Design Center (DC) and the Production Center (PC).

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering + one year relevant technical experience or;  Masters of Science Degree in Engineering or; Bachelor of Technology Degree in Engineering + five years of relevant technical experience
  • Periodically work additional hours to support program goals and product demand

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent written communication to provide direction and resolve issues via emails or other Moog processes (i.e. TIP/NC)

Overview:
Reporting directly to the Product Engineering Manager, you will provide Engineering support to specific product lines which can be more complex program in nature, and provide technical guidance to Assembly and Test personnel or others in need for your product knowledge.

You will get direction from more experienced Product Engineer team members to support assembly and test operations, but will sometimes work more independently when required. In some circumstances you will take a leadership role for special projects.

You will support all phases of the product life cycle including development, new product introduction (NPI), product transfer and product delivery.
You will handle Work Instructions, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP / PAT), engineering memos, and Electronic Historical Record (EHR) entries. You will facilitate the evaluation and implementation of equipment to meet production requirements for operations department, including assembly fixtures and tools, production flow-line systems, and test equipment.
