Lathe Machining Cell Utility Operator- 2nd and/or 3rd Shift

Starting Salary: $28.16/hour + 10% differential for off-shift ($30.97/hour)

What you can expect:

  • You’ll have the opportunity to deburr, clean, and/or heat treat issues and stock parts. 
  • Using team skills, you’ll participate in the planning of work and resolving of problems within the Cell. 
  • With a high level of confidence, you will utilize various measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Although you will primarily work on a CNC Lathe, you'll have the opportunity to operate equipment outside your area of expertise, as necessary, although you're not required to be an "expert" in all machine families (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.). 
  • You will be expected to inspect all work performed and detect unusual conditions, defective materials, and deviant parts
  • You will be expected to be proficient in reading blueprints and written instructions, as well as recognize errors in blueprints and operation sheets. 
  • You must be able to positively contribute to the teamwork environment in terms of productivity, cooperation, data collection, and attitude. 

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Six months experience in a machine shop as a Machine Operator and/or Machinist which should include 6 months of experience on a CNC Lathe.
  • In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company’s "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.
