Moog’s Agile Prime business is looking for a Design Drafter to join them. You will report to the Engineering Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Orlando, Florida.

Moog engineers are challenged with:

       Meeting demanding performance requirements

       Designing safety critical systems

       Delivering systems that will perform to expectations in harsh environments

As the Design Drafter you’ll develop mechanical and electronic package designs. Design scope includes design packages consisting of part solid models, detail drawings, assembly drawings, parts lists, etc. suitable for prototype and subsequent production release.

Some of the activities you can expect to be involved in include:

       Preparing part designs, with technical inputs from senior designer or design engineer.

       Preparing redesigns and repackaging of existing products through proper component and hardware sizing, selection, etc.

       Performing calculations related to fit and interference, due to tolerance and assembly.

       Selecting components, materials, and processes.

       Designing tooling and fixtures when required with help from senior designer or design engineer.

       Assuring accuracy of design through carefully checking your own work and the work of others.

       Assisting production in the resolution of manufacturing problems related to potential design problems.

       Maintaining the Moog and military standards related to design documentation.

       Assuring timely completion of assigned projects.

       Coordinating with production to develop effective production control configurations (kit structure, alternate parts, revision control, etc.)

       Writing and maintaining assembly work instructions.

 

To be considered for this position you’ll need the following:

 

       Minimum of a two-year Engineering degree

       8 years Drafting/Design experience

Salary Range:

The base pay range for this opportunity is $61,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year.

 

Pay Disclaimer:

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
