Moog Space and Defense Group is looking for a Cost Engineer to support and coordinate the efforts of the cost estimating team and gather and correlate their inputs in the preparation of new business proposals. We view this role as a key contributor to the business capture and planning phase of business development.
As a Cost Engineer you can expect to:
- Support and coordinate the efforts of the cost estimating team, gather and correlate their inputs in the preparation of new business proposals.
- Analyze and assemble historical data for follow on business proposals.
- The Cost Engineer takes this information and translates it into proposal cost data, which he or she analyzes from a reasonability standpoint for use in arriving at pricing decisions.
- The incumbent must have the ability to work to a successful conclusion of the estimating effort within very critical time constraints and then communicate the results of these efforts clearly and objectively to the members of the pricing committee.
A successful candidate shall have:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering, Finance or Business.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Oriented Support Role with Customer Interface.
- Ability / Desire to work with Data, Analyzing and Reporting findings. Experience with Costing, Scheduling and Resource Coordination.
- 3 years experience in an Engineering, Operations, Finance or Supply Chain Discipline

Salary Range:
The base pay range for this opportunity is $ 69,638 - 89,000 per year. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
