ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Under the direction of the Cell Leader, this position is responsible in the quality of products by performing precise assembly and test operations of hydraulic actuators and subassemblies. to contribute in the department objectives and metrics.  The Assembly Technician is expected to understand the business objectives, follow standard work instructions, to find and fix problems, continuously seek improvements on various processes and standards; and utilize a wide variety of manufacturing tools (i.e., 5S, Lean concept, Visual management, 6 sigma and other improvement tools applicable).

 

This role will require someone who has a great focus on quality and can demonstrate a Zero-Defect Mindset where he/she will commit to do things right the first time, every time; creating a work environment where nearly right and good enough are not acceptable.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:


Education & Experience:

1.HS Graduate + 6 months vocational course in Mechanical, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering +.   2.5 years experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly/repair

              

2. 2 years Technical course in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical + 1 year experience in high precision assembly works

              

3. 3 years ME / ECE / EE / IE + 6 - 12 months experience in high precision assembly works

              

4.3 years Technology major in Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, etc.+ OJT  in high precision assembly work

              

Skills and Knowledge:

1. Good eye-hand coordination in performing assembly & test works.

2. Read and interpret assembly drawings and worksheets

3. Visual inspection of parts against non-conformities

4. Working knowledge of the Lean Management System, Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement as well as Zero Defect Mindset supporting the Moog Quality System.
