Our team in Moog's Aircraft Group is looking for a Sr. Planner Buyer to join us. You will report to the Supply Chain Manager and will have a hybrid work schedule in Torrance, CA.

To be considered for Sr. Planner Buyer role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business)
  • 5+ years of experience in the field of Supply Chain, Materials Planning, Supply Chain Project Management, and/or Procurement; experience must be in the manufacturing industry (aerospace is desirable)
  • Experience with procurement processes, integrated planning, order placement, and negotiation is desirable.

 

As a Sr. Planner Buyer, you will:

  • Coordinate between Site and Operations (Manufacturing, A&T, Supply Chain) teams for demand-driven buffer strategies for procured parts.
  • Monitor and evaluate supply chain buffer sizes over time to recommend and complete adjustment of demand-driven buffer profiles and zones.
  • Provide oversight and point of escalation to the Planner Buyers.  Escalations include Demand Escalations and DDMRP topics.
  • Represent the Supply Chain team in the site meetings such as SIOP, SQDCL process for the demand/supply balance analysis.
  • Represent the Site Supply Chain team by providing support to the Supply Chain PMO team for initiative implementation and POC.
  • Deputizes for the Site Supply Chain Manager in their absence.
  • You will have direct reports in this role.

The base pay range for this opportunity is per year. $95,326 - $168,230. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
