Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for a Mechanic Maintenance to join them. You will report to the Facility supervisor and will have an onsite work schedule in Chatsworth, CA. 

To be considered for the Mechanic Maintenance, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

·         High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

·         10 or more years of experience with Hi Vacuum and Thermal Cycle equipment used for product testing.

·         Able to read schematics of mechanical and electrical nature.

·         Knowledge of HVAC systems and related components.

·         Knowledge of high vacuum test apparatus and general machinery.

·         Working experience with electrical systems for test lab equipment.

·         Working experience with preventative maintenance services.

·         Basic computer program skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).

 

As a Mechanic Maintenance, you will:

·         Install, service, dismantle and maintain all types Hi Vacuum and Thermal Cycle equipment used for product testing.

·         Maintain special constructed test equipment and perform preventative maintenance services to all departments.

·         Use precision instruments as required.

·         Operating vacuum equipment.

·         Set up and alignment of machinery, test equipment and guiding in machine relocation.

·         Locate trouble responsible for the equipment failure, determine methods required for dismantling, repairing, and placing equipment back into service. 

·         Read schematics of mechanical and electrical nature.

·         Use knowledge of HVAC systems and related components, and knowledge of high vacuum test apparatus and general machinery.

·         Install electrical systems, conduits, panels, and gas handling systems such as Ln2, Gn2, compressed air, etc. for test lab equipment.

·         Inspect existing manufacturing and test equipment and recommend the appropriate corrective action required.

·         Capable of time to repair estimates and the feasibility of repairing or replacing a defective item.

·         Assist and direct outside service technicians with service and repair activities.

·         Assist other trades within the maintenance department as required.

·         May be required for daily and weekend OT shifts and may be on call for emergencies.

Salary Range:

California Residents: Pay range for this opportunity is $33.56-$37 per hour

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits. 

 

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
