Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for an Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join them. You will report to the and will have an onsite work schedule in Chatsworth, CA.  

To be considered for the Electro-Mechanical Assembler, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

·         High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

·         3 year or more of experience in a related industry preferred

·         Experience with mechanical controls is preferred 

·         Experience with Electro-Mechanical Assembler preferred

·         Blueprint reading

·         Basic computer program skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)

 

As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will:

·         Work from assembly drawings, manufacturing outlines, worksheets, parts lists and other instructions, both written and oral.

·         Maintain process certification samples per company specifications.

·         Perform precision assembly on production actuators and biaxial assemblies.

·         Adjust or align through shimming, polishing and other means of mechanical adjustments specified by blueprint or other specification limits.

·         Perform cabling, harnessing, crimping, soldering to Moog and/or NASA specifications and follows proper ESD requirements as required. Utilizes a variety of epoxies and compounds to perform required bonding and coating operations to satisfy drawing requirements.

·         Utilize a variety of mechanical measuring equipment such as: Dial indicators, height gauges, dial calipers and indicating micrometers to obtain proper assembly build requirements.

·         Utilize a variety of tools and equipment such as: Torque wrenches, arbor presses, vises, microscopes, hand tools, meters, power supplies, strip chart recorders, motors drivers and necessary fixtures and tooling.

·         Work with Project/Product/Quality Engineering to diagnose anomalies and recommends or performs rework to correct discrepancies.

·         Bring to the supervisor's attention any condition that is abnormal.

·         Responsible for proper documentation of parts replaced and work performed on work instructions.

·         Disposition nonconforming parts in conformance with Moog and Government specifications. Move subassemblies and final assemblies to stock after the final inspection.

·         Prepare MDR's and ADCN's as required.

·         This position could be required to do both assembly and engineering test functions.

·         Review build schedule with Assembly Supervisor and/or Assembly Department Lead.

·         Consistently meet established time standards on work assignments.

·         Maintain production schedules or priorities established by Production Control.

Salary Range:

California Residents: Pay range for this opportunity is $28.39- $34 per hour

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits. 

 

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
